Luis was born in 1970 in Lima, Peru. He arrived on U.S. soil in 1992, where he completed a career with honors in Visual Communications at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
With more than 18 years experience in the publishing business, his love and desire for helping others have led him to create a bilingual magazine in Northeast Florida in 2002. With his partner, Morris Communications Company, he launched Eco Latino, a magazine that serves as the voice for the Latino community in Northeast Florida.
In his very short free time Luis enjoys time with his family, running, biking and reading. “My family keeps me balance and sane, they truly are my inspiration for everything I do in life,” he says.

I am responsible for the overall operation of the editorial department. My job is to lead the group of publications produced by the media outlet: Eco Latino Magazine in Florida and Georgia, and De Paseo, a Visitor’s Guide in St. Augustine.
I’m originally from Argentina where my career in journalism began in 1984. After almost 20 years in national TV stations, radio and magazine newsrooms in Buenos Aires, I moved to Florida and settled in Saint Augustine where I was hired as a professor at Flagler College.
I love to hear the voices of our diverse and vibrant community. Writing has always been my passion and I always enjoy reading, writing, and telling stories. The wonder of stories is that before they are written, they can be found nowhere else but in the mind of the author.
